Lomma
Lars Jönsson (*1955) has been working with wood for all his adult life, making furniture, ornaments, toys and a lot of other things. During a sailing-tour in 1998 he met Tom Eltang, they became close friends and a few years later he made a casket for one of Tom’s 7-days sets. After that he started to help Tom making the Sara Eltang series of pipes. In that way he learned all the various operations it takes to make a pipe. He has also got a lot of help from Hans Former Nielsen, so he has learned the handicraft from two of the very best in the profession.
The first pipe he designed and made all by himself was a club pipe for the Pipe Club of Sweden in 2011. That pipe was a great success and became the start for Lars as an independent pipemaker. His pipes are stamped Lomma Sweden.
