He was always thrilled by the beauty and warmth of wood and in 2005 he decided to make some pipes on his own . First, he received guidance and tips by Wolfgang Becker then he spent 3 times at Tom´s place for one week each. Tom showed Mathias the basics and some tricks as well and the very important freehand drilling. After this he improved his skills a lot. Nevertheless the main part is selftaught from learning by doing trial and error. Now it is a passionate hobby !
